The Big Questions Part 1 "Why do People Need Jesus?" Traditional Service Livestream

Assumptions are often dangerous. We assume that everyone in the church knows why we need Jesus. But when was the last time we stopped and asked the question, “Why do we need Jesus?” If you’re content with life, self-sufficient and relatively happy, why do you need Jesus? If you don’t have an answer or at least a good answer to the question, then it’s time to stop and ask again. What can He bring to your life that you don’t already have?

It’s an important question, “Why do we need Jesus?”

In the Gospels Jesus is always asking questions. In fact, He asks far more questions than he answers. Jesus asks 307 questions. He is asked 183 of which he only answers 3. Asking questions was central to Jesus’ life and teachings.

Even as a boy, he was found sitting among the teachers in the temple asking them questions. ‘And all who heard him were amazed’ (Luke 2:47).

Jesus knows.

Asking the right questions leads to the right answers.

In the same way, asking the wrong questions inevitably leads to wrong answers.

In our new series we’ll look at the Big Questions, the ones we need to ask, and the questions Jesus is asking us.

And it starts this Sunday with the big one:

Why do people Need Jesus?

Given who you are and what you’ve been through in life, and perhaps what you’ve learned about life, I’m curious how you would answer that question?
