April 19 Traditional Service
Dr. Posey begins a new four part sermon series titled: Keeping Faith in Challenging Seasons. This Sunday in part one of this series, Dr. Posey will focus in the fact that much of what happens in our lives during challenging seasons depends upon the choices we make. As a result, challenging seasons can be for us either a time of discouragement and defeat or it can be a time of growth and opportunity to become more of who God wants us to be. While God does not cause challenging seasons in our lives He can work through them to replace more of us with Himself which is one of His greatest desires.

Easter Sunday Traditional Service
For this Sunday’s Easter sermon, Dr. Posey preaches from Matthew 28:1-10. In this story we read that two women went to the tomb of Jesus to properly anoint His body for burial. They encountered an angel and the risen Christ, neither of which they were expecting. How could they explain what happened? We will never be able to explain “HOW” the resurrection happened, but we can know why it happened. Christ was raised from the grave in order to conquer death, to raise us up to new life, and to offer us the gift of eternal life. Those gifts from Jesus Christ are available to all of us and that is one of the many reasons the Easter story is still so very relevant to all of our lives. We look forward to having you join us this Sunday for one of our two worship services.

April 10 Good Friday Service
Join us for an evening of contemplative music, prayer and reflection as we recount the final steps of Jesus on this earth and remember the sacrifice and passion of Christ. This will be a time of deep thought and serious reflection through music and readings recounting the final days and hours leading up to the death of Jesus. While this is a somber time, this service will help prepare our hearts and minds for the culmination of events that will eventually lead us into Easter Sunday.
April 9 Maundy Thursday Service
We must ask ourselves what is absolutely essential for our faith and our life as Christ followers. Jesus dining with the disciples and washing the disciples feet just before his death and resurrection bring a clear focus on two things that are essential to our faith: connecting through fellowship and serving one another. These are two symbolic examples for us to model, especially now during this pandemic when we are truly in uncharted territory.

April 5 Palm Sunday Traditional Service
Dr. Posey will focus on the more than just the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. There is another significant story that happened in the morning while Jesus was beginning His journey to Jerusalem. It is the story of the healing or two blind men. When we read this story of the blind men being healed by Jesus, it is obvious that a miracle has happened. However, what Dr. Posey points out is that there are actually two miracles that happened in the lives of those men. Please read Matthew 20:29-34 and Matthew 21:1-11 and see if you can discover what the second miracle is and why that second miracle is so important for all of our lives today.

Faith and Knowledge
March 29, 2020
Dr. Posey will focus on Joshua 3 and focus on a life lesson that is important for all of us during these uncertain times. The lesson is the importance of Faith and Knowledge. During uncertain times, we sometimes lean towards knowledge as our security and comfort; meaning that if we could just know what tomorrow will bring, or know when we can go back to work or school that somehow our fears will be lessened and life will be less stressful. The lesson in Joshua 3 teaches us that as we face an unknown future, our faith is what we should lean on. However, it is not faith in ourselves or the economy. Rather it is faith in Almighty God who is our rock and our fortress at all times. So even though we do not know the future, we can have faith in and be guided by the One who does.
