Outreach to Arlington Families
Immunization Clinic -- FREE
Trinity offers a free immunization clinic to those who do not have the advantage of health care coverage. It is available to children from birth through 18 years.
Parents or caregivers need to bring any shot records that they have on their children. It takes about 1 hour to process each family.
The dates for the free clinic can be found at www.carevan.org
The free clinic will be held in the Great Hall at Trinity United Methodist Church. All are welcome!
Arlington Life Shelter
Arlington Life Shelter houses folks who because of unfortunate circumstances are homeless. Single male and female adults as well as families live at ALS until they can get back on an even footing.
Our sixth grade confirmands serve the ALS families by preparing sack lunches for 100 residents on the first Friday at 4:30 here at the church. Once the sack lunches are completed, the children take them to ALS and also serve the evening meal. This is a three hour commitment by our children and a life changing experience.
Because we can only take six students, sign up is required at children@trinityarl.org. One of our children recently said, after completing an evening of service at ALS, “Homeless people are more grateful than I am.”
New Day BackPack Ministry
The BackPack Food Ministry is a continuous mission effort to provide food for AISD’s children who have no food, or very little food, over the weekend. These children are on the school district’s ‘Free or Reduced price’ lunch program and are identified by personnel at each school.
Currently, we are ministering to four AISD Title 1 elementary schools, serving 87 students. At the end of the week, each student receives food for 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 suppers, along with 2 fruits and 4 snacks. All foods are non-perishable, single servings, and packaged in easy-open cans.
Using your donated food, Trinity volunteers stock our shelves on Sunday, sack the food on Wednesday,
then deliver it to schools at the end of each week.
If you are interested in volunteering for this ministry, contact the church office at office@trinityarl.org.
Monetary donations or food donations (see lists below) are accepted continuously throughout the year.

Salvation Army Bell Ringing
Trinity supports the Salvation Army Bell Ringers program at the Parks Mall during Thanksgiving and the month of December.
The children and parents sign up in the Great Hall and commit two hours of bell ringing outside of the Parks Mall to raise
money for families in need. Trinity has the distinction of being the only organization in Arlington that has our own
Salvation Army bucket that we exclusively man during the holiday season. Sign up in the Great Hall beginning in November.
