On the Other Side Part 4 "On the Other Side…Of an Interruption" Traditional Service Livestream

What does synchronization have to do with the story of Paul’s missionary journey to Macedonia?

What does synchronization have to do with us?

As much as we want to believe our lives are on a steady upward trajectory, the truth is life is a series of unexpected and often unwanted interruptions. Paul has his schedule set. All the plans are in place. But then, the interruption comes.

In short, Paul is out of sync.

But then the Spirit interrupts his well laid plans and moves him in another unexpected direction.

Paul receives a vision of a man from Macedonia pleading for help, prompting him to cross into Europe to spread the gospel.

Paul discovers that when the call comes, all the other plans get discarded.

At some point, we all find ourselves out of sync.

Life has a way of interrupting our careful, detailed plans at the most unexpected times.

Funny thing though, invitations are often disguised as unwelcomed interruptions.

As Henri Nouwen says, “The interruptions are the ministry.”
