Kids Music Showcase & Real Church Part 2 “Real Conflict” Traditional Service Livestream
This Sunday during both the 9am and 11am services, we will rejoice and be blessed by the music of Trinity’s kids. Our Kids Choir, Kids Chimes, and individual talents will all lead us in worship. It’s our opportunity to celebrate with our children and to bless the Lord with his gift of music – demonstrated by our own Trinity kids. Both services will meet in the Sanctuary for the day.
When is the best time to solve a problem?
Before it becomes a serious issue.
When is the best time to deal with an approaching hurricane?
Before it ever hits land.
When is the best time to resolve a conflict?
Before it ever gets started.
Conflict has been around as long as anyone can remember, the church is no exception. We live in a world torn apart by conflicts. Conflicts in families, in communities, even in churches. Some of us have witnessed firsthand the pain and devastation that comes because of a terrible conflict.
Conflict is inevitable. Fighting is not. How do we create a community in which conflicts can be addressed in a way that maintains the health and sanctity of the community? How do we agree to disagree and still stay bound together?
Trinity is not involved in a deep conflict nor is it being torn apart by internal factions competing for power. So why a sermon on conflict? Because the truth is conflict is inevitable. Fighting is not. The best time to deal with conflict is before it ever escalates and does irreparable harm to the Body of Christ.
We’ll look at what the early church learned and the wisdom they can share with us.
