Imagine Part 12 “Imagine….” Traditional Service Livestream

“Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark…”
That’s how John begins the story. In the dark. That liminal space that hovers between night and day; darkness and light. Before you can focus your eyes, before you can prepare yourself for what is about to happen.
The one thing we can all agree on is that none of the people who woke up that morning could have imagined in their wildest dreams what was about to unfold. Their hearts were broken, their dreams shattered, their hope destroyed. They came to say goodbye. To mourn the death of the one they loved.
“…while it was still dark…”
That kind of darkness is unbearable.
But something they could have never imagined was about to happen.
What they felt was resignation.
What they experienced was resurrection.
And from that moment on, the world forever changed.
Imagine if…
Imagine if you had faith the size of a mustard seed.
Imagine if we could love like Jesus.
Imagine if we knew how much we are loved.
Imagine if we weren’t afraid.
Imagine if we had more time.
Imagine if we could mend a broken relationship.
Imagine if we allowed the Spirit to guide us.
If we asked God to strengthen us.
If we asked Jesus to come into our lives.
If we forgave the person who hurt us.
If we forgave ourselves.
Imagine if a dead man could rise from the grave.
Imagine, just imagine for a moment that this story is really true.
It would change everything.
It did.
And it does.
He is Risen!
