“According to Our Likeness” Traditional Service Livestream

During my time in Student Ministry, I taught the students that when scripture repeats itself, it is a cue for readers and listeners to pay attention. God is telling us something we don’t want to miss. In two verses, we are told repeatedly that humankind is made in God’s image. This is important… But what does it mean to live into that truth? What do we learn about God and our community when we acknowledge that every human who has ever lived and will ever live bears the likeness of God?

The Latin phrase used to describe this concept is “Imago Dei.” Let’s explore this scripture together this week to see what we can learn about God, ourselves, and our church.
