Music Camp Sunday

One of the greatest gifts of being in full-time ministry is being able to listen to people’s stories of faith. Often peppered within these testimonies are the names of mentors, family members, Sunday School teachers, and friends who nurtured them in the faith. We all could name someone who made a difference in our lives of faith, however big or small.

In Acts 16, we hear of a woman named Lydia who hears Paul’s message about Christ and comes to believe in Jesus. In fact, her whole household is baptized, becoming the first Christians in Europe! And then, the story continues, only mentioning Lydia once again briefly.

Lydia is not a well-known biblical figure, but her act of faith has left a tremendous impact in this world that continues to this day. If this woman, who is almost a background character in the story can make such a difference in the world, what might we as individuals do to share the Good News?
