It’s the proverbial question.

Which door will you choose?

There are multiple doors to choose from, but you can only choose to open one door.

The average adult makes 35,000 decisions a day.

If that number seems absurd, think about the choices you make every day, deciding what to do, where to go, when to get up, either go out or stay home, who to talk to, what you say, turn right or left, what you eat, and choosing what you wear.

We make choices every day. Come to think of it. You chose to read this article.

We choose to be kind.

We choose to be cruel.

We choose to be compassionate.

We choose to be indifferent.

We choose to hold on.

We choose to let go.

We choose to be loving.

We choose to be hateful.

We choose to be selfish.

We choose to be grateful.

Sometimes we choose.

Sometimes the choices are made for us.

But we all make choices every day.

In the words of Jesus, we are the chosen.

And the chosen, He says, shall be known by their choices.

Or as your mother used to remind you as you walked out the door, “Make good choices.”
