Introducing the Yes or No Wheel

It’s a free app designed to help you make decisions.

Here’s the sales pitch from the designer of the app:

Spin to Decide with Confidence

Feeling stuck on a decision? The Yes or No Wheel is here to save the day. Designed for swift and unbiased decision-making, this tool eliminates overthinking with a single spin. Simply tap “spin,” and within seconds, your fate is decided—yes or no. It’s fun, fast, and completely impartial.

What is the Yes or No Wheel?

Decision-making can be a daunting process, even for the simplest choices. With life’s constant uncertainties, having a tool that simplifies these moments can be a game-changer. Enter the Yes or No Wheel—a virtual decision generator that cuts through the noise and delivers a clear “yes” or “no.”

Perfect for those moments when you’re stuck in an endless loop of “what should I do?” this spinner provides a random, unbiased outcome. Both “yes” and “no” have an equal 50% probability, ensuring fairness without the intrusion of personal preferences.

I guess if you don’t have any core values, if you aren’t guided by a higher calling or driven by a set of fundamental principles and beliefs, spinning the Yes or No Wheel will do.

But that’s not how people of faith make choices.

According to Luke, Jesus begins his ministry not in a synagogue or at the Temple, but in the wilderness. It’s in the wilderness that his character is formed, his spirit tested, and his mission solidified. The temptations he faces forces Jesus to say no to anything that detracts him from his primary mission.

His temptations are our temptations. Tempted to forget who we are. Tempted to be less than what God created us to be.

Everyday we make choices. Some big, others small and insignificant. Those choices are a reflection and an extension of who we are and what we believe.

I guess we could spin the Yes or No Wheel to decide.

Or we could make decisions following the lead of Jesus. Because choices matter, both the big and the small ones.

Or to put it another way:

The chosen shall be known by their choices.

Imagine if we said no to the things that harm us and yes to the things that bring life.
